Public Relations

The Public Relations department handles various medical office relationships with third parties, including:

1. Preparation of patients files, transmission of the first appointment to Qatar and process the information of arrival
2. Correspondence with Doha to determination or change of a companion or for all other inquiries, as well as feeding-in in the data into the system after scan and review
3. Processing of the dossier of the stay at the Foreigners´ office
4. Constant update of the patients` list in the hospitals
5. Preparation of lists about weekly payments for the accounting department
6. Registration of new-born children or cases of deaths
7. Travel bookings for patients and their companions
8. Contact with the contract partners of the health office for organization of transport for patients and companions to and from airports that are not in the catchment area of the health office.
9. Organization of patient transport or ambulance flights if necessary
10. Contact with patients in Doha to inform them about completed preparations

 
Important information about the accommodation:

• Upon arrival in the country where treatment is supposed to take place, patients and escorts have to present passport copies to the Medical Office.
• Two weeks prior to their visas ending, patient and escorts have to contact the Medical Office.
• Patients and escorts who travel with tourist visas have to leave the country three months after arrival at the latest. Under German federal law, a new tourist visa can only be applied for in their home country three months after their return.
• Patient as well as official and non-official escorts have to register with the city council. Under current law, the tenancy agreement has to include the names of all tenants.
• In some German states, strict rules apply when applying for a visa extension for non-official escorts.
• If a visa is extended in a certain German state, the visa holder is not allowed to leave said state.
